NVDECS enriches education, civics, and charity in our Northern Virginia community by serving and enabling others who serve. Since its inception, the NVDECS Foundation has prioritized supporting strategic partner and civic organization programs that award educational scholarships, provide youth development services, serve senior citizens, sponsor healthy lifestyle initiatives, and host community forums. The NVDECS Foundation has an all-volunteer Board, whose Directors are like-minded members of strategic partner organizations and individual community members-at-large.

NVDECS Foundation funding sources include grants from local and national philanthropic organizations and businesses, donations from individuals, designated contributions to establish named-scholarships, and sponsored fundraising events. These diverse funding sources are vital enablers to afford the NVDECS Foundation the means to address challenges facing the Northern Virginia community we serve.
